There are rumors that the healing component is special in some way. Some claim it's modified by strength, others claim it's modified by the target's intelligence. These are all wrong. The AoN heal is a completely standard heal, affected by intelligence of caster. Allies receive a greater healing effect than either enemies or the caster, while receiving the same damage.

- Before 22. February 2006, AoN did not crit. Instead, the normal effect was equivalent to the current crit effect. This was widely considered as too powerful, and the spell was changed.
- 1.20: Criticals reinstated.
