[edit] Introduction

Contrary to most professions, the Hunter profession is very dependant on the character level, as you need to gather the necessary meat from increasingly powerful monsters. The recipes listed here are the most efficient for your hunting level, but you may not be strong enough to collect the ingredients. In such a case, move up in the guide until you find a monster that you can (easily) defeat.

Hunting

• Tofus (best areas are Tofu Corner and down room 4 of Tofu Dungeon)
• Blue Larvae (entrance to the Larva Dungeon)

• Preserved Larva Flesh

• Black Gobbly and White Gobbly

• Preserved Gobball Leg

• Tiwabbits (Gobballs and Gobblies if Tiwabbits are too strong for you)
• Boar and Miliboowolf are available from Lv. 30 on, but Tiwabbits are as good for crafting

• Preserved Wabbit leg, (Preserved Muzzle, Preserved Pork Loin)

Hunting

• Wild Almond Dragoturkey - All you need to do is go grab yourself a Crackler Set (minus the sword) with good physical and magical reduction, and a Magus Fecalizer. Just avoid Wild Golden Dragoturkeys.

• Preserved DragoMeat

• Kanigers (XP is fantastic and you get the third best meat in the game)

Crafting

• Preserved Kaniger Meat

Hunting

• At this level you have a choice between Kanigers (which drop 2 meats) and Crocodyls (including Crocodyl Chiefs). Choosing between them depends on:
  • Whatever you are better able to hunt - Crocodyl mobs are best faced by those that can do Neutral and Fire damage, Kaniger mobs are best faced by those that can do Water and Air damage. Kaniger maps tend to be more open (even if you are hunting them in the Canidae dungeon), Crocodyl maps tend to be more closed.
  • Kanigers drop two lower-level meats, one of which can only be cooked (relevant if you are a Butcher) if you have enough Hazelnut, while Crocodyls drop a higher level meat that is easy to cook
  • Crocodyl non-meat drops tend to be more useful and sell at higher prices - because you will be hunting a number of crocs, this comes into play.
• Depending of your classe, level and set, Dragoturkeys can be the best option because it can be killed faster than the Crocodyls and Kanigers (specially combo sadidas and enutrofs with 8 PA and 35+ damage).
