[edit] Dynamic NPC lists
Hi, based on Tildar's work, I created Template:npclist to allow automatic inclusion of npc lists in Area pages (see Incarnam for a 1st implementation.)
For Subarea pages, the same could be done provided that the Subarea is added as a category. This could be done through the 'loc' field of Template:npc2, but would have a major impact on the npc pages and would need adjusting the pages where the loc field is currently a (manual) link. Before undertaking this impacting task, I'd like to share thoughts. TIA --Lirielle 11:18, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!
Thanks for voting for the logo on Symbolism Wiki, Cizagna! Swannie 18:32, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hi! I saw your comment about the sun and some other symbols, so I created another logo with the son and moon together. I just wanted to let you know that there is another choice now. Thanks!! :) Swannie 19:39, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Current template edits
Here are the current template projects I'm working on.
- NPCs
- Pending your comments and to avoid impacting the current pages using the npc2 template, I've created a npc3 template that will be progressively replacing the npc & npc2 templates.
- Template
- Template:Npc3
- Objective
- 1) categorize NPCs on subarea 2) Add the NPC menu options
- Example
- Abely Bobeule (only implementation so far)
- Subareas
- Parallel to Template:Npclist for areas (see Incarnam), I've created a new template for subareas.
- Template
- Template:Npclistsub
- Objective
- automatic listing of NPCs on subarea pages
- Example
- The Amakna Forest (only implementation so far)
- Stats
- I'm suggesting that we remove the XP table from the Drops section. It sometimes causes layout issues and it is not intuitive to find there. I'd suggest we move this information to the Statsbox, as it is level-dependant. I think it would be more visible there.
- Template
- Template:LirielleSandbox3 (needs to be improved to have color propagated to the cells below)
- Objective
- Better visibility for XP figures
- Example
- User:Lirielle#Statsbox_with_xp
NPC3: your changes compare to NPC2 are to little to justify that type of template replace just add it to the NPC2 and its a matter of jobque caching the changes or doing blank edits if you are impatience for it to be use.
Subareas looks good, to bad it can be break in a mayor 2 column would maximize space horizontal space.
Monsters exp looks good if you want to implement now i have new ideas i can apply there that i have just learn with the improvements im going to do to the item template series
--Cizagna (Talk) 16:35, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- I've abandoned npc3 - which you obviously noticed as you deleted it ;). Half of NPCs using npc2 have been updated to new format because the new code is broken when the loc field contains a link.
- Template:Npclistsub will be applied when I'm done with npc2 updates.
- Thx for updating spoiler and queststep templates. Spoiler still needs to be changed so that links do not show. queststep can have its color changed, what matters is to have the steps highlighted in some way. (The whole quest page format could do with a lifting, but that's for later.)
- I've updated Template:LirielleSandbox3 and added a Template:Statsrow to make statsbox formatting easier. Examples are on my user page and on the Blue Piwi page. Waiting for your go ahead before mowing the changes from Template:LirielleSandbox3 to Template:Statsbox.
- --Lirielle 20:52, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- PS: also note that I'll be less active in August due to important deadlines coming in September.
- Yeah doing tidy. still lots of work there.
- The spoiler it should be maybe because your skin as its first the Common.css, then its the Monobook.css then its the Personal.css and it may be overwriting the common.css the tests i made was working the only one that was still displaying its the outside links.
- The queststeps, i cant choose now a color as it must be done as a whole style.
- For the stats xp for now do as you see fit there are a lot of changes that that template and other templates require aside from style changes that require, but as i have always say "thats not my current focus", if you can i would prefer that you complete images on equipments, because soon i will start working on equipments to update the template with the new parameters and then will restart the template update on the articles. As equipment is not that big once finish that i will see usable/miscellaneous/potion/parchment items--Cizagna (Talk) 21:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Equipmentbox status
With all DPL work by tildar, I thought we'd better finish implementing the Equipmentbox template. That's why I stopped adding images for the moment and took on implementing the template (using the new format, with ID and Episode info).
Status is:
Item | Old Equipmentbox | Images | New Equipmentbox |
Amulet | | | |
Backpack | | | |
Belt | | | |
Boots | | | |
Cloak | | | |
Hat | | | in progress |
Ring | | | |
Pet | | | |
- I dont know whats the "new" equipmentbox (unless you refer of the new ep field that for me its a glitch that im working to resolve it), despite Tildar's discovery on the proper use of DPL (with a minor addition), the template is originally conceive for that specific work, i would prefer if we continue our normal work flow like i always say 1 thing at the time and if me and you are the ones updating the template, that will leave you later with lots of image work to do, and that i see unfair giving you all that load in a single blow that would take you even more time to acomplish at the end as you tend to divert to the "updates" or other projects. --Cizagna (Talk) 15:15, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] A quick favour :P
This has nothing to do with this wiki, but i help out on the tribal wars wiki. They required something to show the page didnt have enough information so i kinda "borrowed" this wiki's stub template. As it on the tribalwars wiki it does work, but it has some bugs. Could you, if you have some spare time, have a quick look? Thanks. the link is : Tribalwars wiki. --Kiriath(Talk) 12:26, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bots...
Hello again. just a quick post to ask if only beaurocrats can have bots? I have recently been made a Sysop on the Tribalwars wiki and am experimenting with certain things. I have worked out the delete, ban, rollback etc but am still clueless on the "BOT" idea. Is there any wikipedia pages that explain all of the avaliable rights and tools of a sysop AND beaurocrat? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 13:20, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just to add, i know all the powers etc. I just wondered how, if a sysop is allowed, i get a bot. --Kiriath(Talk) 13:54, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- Bot is a user tag (like sysops or staff), so in order to first be a bot you need to register an account, then download a program and configure it, to do the changes you want, the advantage for bots its a reduced edit time limit and that their changes does not appear on the recent changes but they appear on the history of the page. --Cizagna (Talk) 18:59, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
Well coming back to this discussion. I have been given a bot account on the other wiki, he is all setup with the bot tag but i need some pointers. Firstly can you recommend a program to configure my bot as i woudlnt really know where to find one. Also are there any articles on MediaWiki/MetaWiki etc on bots and how to use them etc? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 12:30, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Bot policy
- Yeh i found that a few days ago... Before i even posted on here. It tells me how to request and stuff but not how to use ;) All i need is a lil help from you really... basically just a program in which i can run a bot, and change his settings on what he is used for etc. --Kiriath(Talk) 15:48, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- There you can obtain a link to Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Semi-bots where its most helpful because a full bot is a program you have to create as little of them are publish. How to use it is rather hard as the one i use has some bugs that does not let you work on wikia unless you do a process i discover and as agreement with staff members not to disclose how to make it work. You need to look on that list and see which one accommodates more to your needs. --Cizagna (Talk) 17:22, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion Right
Hi Cizagna,
I tried to remove an old image by Shoda (Talk | contribs) on the image page "Noimage" but couldn't. I reverted it back to the original, but is this action only allowed by sysops entirely or can this right be given seperately? If so, would you be willing to add it to my rights? --GroundZzero (Talk) 23:36, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
- yeah delete is sysops only the delete tag is there but not usable by non-sysops --Cizagna (Talk) 02:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Campaign...
Well as you have probably seen i am standing for Admin(sysop)!!!! Oooo its exciting lol. Was just wondering if i am allowed to kinda... campaign.. like talk to certain users and try to convince them to support, or is that not allowed? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 17:40, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- Same answer as GroundZero request for me to vote (see his talk page) -Cizagna (Talk) 20:53, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] BrainWave...
Now we discussed that the sub-pages on the Areas pages should be removed. There is around 150-200 pages there! Would it be possible to either gimme a bot to do the job, or simply let your bot/LiriBot removed the [[Monsterpic2= or whatever the section of code is that represents the image part.
If a bot cannot do it then i'll do it by hand, but im sure it can be done by a bot, and bots dont get bored ;) Sorry for posting two things at once. --Kiriath(Talk) 17:55, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- uh?... what Area subpages?, bots cant delete pages unless the account they use have sysops status. What does the monster box have to do with the areas? -Cizagna (Talk) 20:50, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- OHHH subAREAS... sub pages are "Mainpage/Subpage", well i need a proper list, because i think you did not categorize them right? and while all the pages have {{Monsterpic2= the bot will remove them--Cizagna (Talk) 14:23, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- the bot program has the ability to get lists of what pages will require to modify by certain criteria, but in your areas work you did not put a way to distinguish between areas or subareas except by things that will require a lot programing from my part, so im asking for a list of all the pages that requires the changes. so i just load the list, code the change and leave the bot do its work while i keep working in a different thing--Cizagna (Talk) 18:27, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- For what is worth, I do NOT agree with subareas not needing a pic. I added some in the past and don't find them useless... See eg. (from memory) The Cania Fields, The Ingalsses' Fields, Akwadala Village, The Bwork Camp etc. --Lirielle 00:52, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok.. Where do you want me to compile this list? Also liri some of the sub areas are way to small to add images. Yes the The Bwork Camp page image is useful but i cant stand images ;) they just dont like me and im not competent enough with images to make such high standard images such as the Bwork Camp page. --Kiriath(Talk) 09:41, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- That you might not be familiar with images is not a good reason for avoiding image links alltogether... There are more things that are wrong with the area/subarea pages. Shall we undo the whole project? Leave the links alone and we'll come back and complete the area pages when we have time. --Lirielle 23:35, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ok so i take that as halt to all this xD i may be moving this conversation later.--Cizagna (Talk) 15:40, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Adminship(2)
Hey again. I did post on the talk page of the requests for adminship but no-one has replied and it has been there for a few days now so i thought i would post here and ask ;). Basically you have probably seen i have three votes of support and one vote for "Defer". Whats the "next stage"? Do all you current sysops have to talk about it and decide first and then go from there? Or...? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 09:14, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- My 2 cents: might be better to beg less and just wait for it to happen. Trust me, they've noticed all the history on that page ;p. --GroundZzero (Talk) 11:23, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yeh... Well i just wanted to make sure. I mean i waited ages for this and i wanted it for ages. So the quicker i get it the better i s'pose lol. --Kiriath(Talk) 11:25, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just be patient, that fact you want this so bad and that you're so impatient kinda worries me, you know? It's not like the world is gonna end 2morrow, there are no terrorists here to slay, etc. ^^; so stress out a bit, or you'll end up with a heart-faillure by the time you get it ^^. Besides, if it were your first adminship I would understand you'd be kinda pushy and all to try out the new things, but like you said before, you're already admin on an other wikia, I believe it was [this one]. Just my opinion, don't hate me for it. Kind regards, --GroundZzero (Talk) 11:50, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Takes Chill Pill. Yes i maybe a sysop on another wiki but i just got given that, it wasn't a vote or anything. This i had to actually work for... Also i work alot more on this wiki that the other Wiki so its more important to me. But yes i will chill :P Thanks for the advice xD --Kiriath(Talk) 11:54, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User deletion
I suggest, if you can, that you delete User:RapidshareFan, only there to advertise a web site. --Lirielle 16:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Forget it, I don't think users can be deleted unless by wikia admins. --Lirielle 16:18, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
- Wikia devs to be precise, but as wikia policy any user account stays and never gets deleted. (to remove its not simply removing the user but his contributions and then searching the articles that he/she has modify due to copywriter issues, and other stuff that got me dizzy when i did a similar question) --Cizagna (Talk) 18:36, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Opinion wanted
Cizagna, could you have a look here and tell me what you think of it? I made it so it might be more user-friendly towards Dofus wikia users. They have an instant idea what requirements all weapons have without having to open each and everyone of them listed in the Axe page. Please let me know if you like the idea, so I can continue with it on the other weapon pages.
--GroundZzero (Talk) 08:04, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- looks nice but is this project designed for all the weapons? or only axe? --Cizagna (Talk) 18:32, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well currently it's only axe, but if you like it and give me the go, I'll take care of the other weapons. --GroundZzero (Talk) 18:36, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- They are all open to improve, what im referring is the fact that each weapon has differences some have the required stats (conditions) then other have the effects, others if they are craftable, if you want to take charge on that do it just try to see the bigger picture =p other way you will have to do retro-active work revising your previous work making it more tedious--Cizagna (Talk) 21:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well currently it's only axe, but if you like it and give me the go, I'll take care of the other weapons. --GroundZzero (Talk) 18:36, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'll see what I can do tomorrow. Either way, it stays in my projects directory until everyone's approval. I'll try to add as many details as possible without overwhelming the users. Currently the idea was to be able to tell in a glance what weapon would go with your stats, and what you'd need to improve to be able to wear it. Any ideas, besides if it's craftable or not, about what additional info I should add? --GroundZzero (Talk) 21:28, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- mmm how to write it... the thing is that every one considerate different the things that they need to see, while you see conditions as a priority other people will just be interested in what are the actual damages and others will be interested in their effects others if they can see if its craftable etc etc. and idea that i would have is put Level, Name, Damage, Effects/Notes (only short words no stats example +15 intelligence +13-20 strength will translate in to "Int, Str") and i put together notes because there are stuff like wands with no line of sight or unique weapons that can be mark from there. If the person is interested it should see the page of the item to see how to acquire and what are the conditions. Craftable can be done with a column that just states if its craftable or not but thats just optional as if the person wants to craft it it can see the page, and if its a crafter he/she can see the recipe page. --Cizagna (Talk) 22:03, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
I hope you don't mind me eavesdropping. Can't the list that GroundZzero is making be done, more or less automatically, with the template that Tildar created, and an example of which is on the bottom of this page? If I understand the template correctly, it can create a list from any or all fields of the weapon box template. As for craftable, I get the sense that the game is moving towards having everything craftable, so such a column might become redudant soon. Hinkhouse 22:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- not a problem, yes while it includes the information that its inside the template! if it does not have any template it cant, you can extract any of the info inside the separate fields of the weapon box template but adding any extra info like "Notes" or something there would be impossible at the moment, in any case. (about every thing craftable would make the game boring in terms of getting gear but that for another discussion) Only have to copy paste Tildars template and replace where it says the type of weapon for the one that you want to display. --Cizagna (Talk) 22:23, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- I'll try to adjust it with the template by Tildar, and see what comes out ( probably tomorrow as the connection to this wikia is giving problems to me ). But if we use this template, shouldn't we adjust all the single-digit values (e.g. 1 changed to 01 ) on all weapons because when you sort the damage column as to get the lower values first, you get the two-digit values before the single-digit values ( e.g. 10 comes before 1 )? --GroundZzero (Talk) 08:20, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
- Yesterday in the night the severs where having issues with the database so it was not only you =p, the damage values its sort of useless because it only picks the first values (line) and if you have a weapon with various lines those will only be sorted by the first line (last time i tested) and i would prefer to use that 01,02, etc but its visually un-attractive and i left it how is display in game for easier recognition --Cizagna (Talk) 14:50, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Glad to hear it wasn't just me ^^. Well, I've somewhat adapted Tildar's template here, but ran into some issues. Care to take a look? Thx. --GroundZzero (Talk) 14:56, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Game Information Portal...
Hey again. I posted on the talk page of the portal and left it for a few days, but you either havn't seen it, or you have been too busy. Either way just thought a more personal note wouldn't hurt as i would like to get working on the page, and i would prefer that its got no faults when i start creating articles. Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 15:13, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Site Notice and Site Notice_id
Hey i noticed you put the site notice on. As i think you know, i recently became Sysop on another wiki. I was wondering... what does the SiteNotice_id page do? It seems to work fine without that page, or is it needed? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 15:41, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- Too add, is there a page i can read about all the MediaWiki stuff? --Kiriath(Talk) 15:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- The notice id its a Wikia stuff (last time i recall) so people can Dismiss the msg!, once the msg is dismiss by a cookie you have to change the ID or the people would have to do it manually. And since the 2nd thing would not happend well the first one. At Mediawiki.org and meta-wiki--Cizagna (Talk) 16:06, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok. Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 16:14, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removing tag
I love to learn new stuff, and what I'm wondering is how to remove a tag, like made on the Tree dung image. I tried clicking on the remove tag link but nothing happened. So how does one remove it? --GroundZzero (Talk) 16:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Below the picture the tag information appears there is a link that says "remove" you have to click it some times it takes a couple of clicks (maybe reloads) thats why if you see recent chagnes you will notice i have two removing tags to article 55. --Cizagna (Talk) 17:37, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
So I just keep clicking/reloading? Got it, Thx. --GroundZzero (Talk) 17:42, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- yes click wait then the page should reload if not click again, if you want do some trials in any picture --Cizagna (Talk) 17:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Skins and stuff...
Well as you know im Sysop on another wiki, this is a wiki tho, not a wikia. I looked at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Layout_customization and it mentions all these files and stuff, apparently they are on the server, but i cant get to it... can anyone? And if no-one can then why are there instructions on how to do it, if not many can? :S Also any pages you can recommend to learn about skins and things on Wiki's? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 15:33, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- To add, you made the Quartslate skin, can i look at it, to get some tips and thigns from it? --Kiriath(Talk) 15:41, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Ok ok last one ;) Where do i make changes to the Special pages, such as Recent changes... in the MonoBook.css skin? Or somewhere else? Thanks, and gl answering all the Q's lol. Also the Game_Information portal is pretty much complete. --Kiriath(Talk) 18:04, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- There is no direct page as the quantity of information is huge...
- the Quartslate skin is a combination of CSS, javascript, ajax and widgets so the only thing i could provide accuretly would be the CSS code
- to change any monobook you have to edit the page MediaWiki:Monobook.css located in that wiki but if you want to add a Javascript you have to edit the MediaWiki:Monobook.css the one that is Common is that will be apply to all the skins things that are common should go there. What i do is copy from other wikis and then test it until i get what i wanted.
- In special pages look for Special:Allmessages should display as "system messages"
- --Cizagna (Talk) 19:44, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. All the above was Very Useful. As a test to see if things would work i copied from here the code for the colours of the recent changes, and the code for removing the title on the main page. I Added them to the common.css code on my wiki and nothing changed! Nothing! Could you, in your busy scedule, click the link at the bottom and see if you can work out why something isnt working? Thanks. This is the link to the common.css page on my other wiki. Thanks again. --Kiriath(Talk) 10:01, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Some tests can be made in your personal CSS that way you can "preview" the effects before adding it (and i say preview because only th ones affecting your personal css page will display the ones that are in a independent page example recent changes you will only be able to see it once you save it.) --Cizagna (Talk) 14:18, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] beta policy
As you must have noticed, I've deleted several pages by DoctorCZ with information on future features. This brings the question of to what extent we should include information from the SOL files (only changes confirmed on line?). Also, though we can undelete the pages when the time comes, we could avoid losing the work AND prevent people from re-creating the pages by keeping the pages, but adding a redirect to a warning page. (See Great Coral.)
The information is thus kept on the wikia, but is only visible when editing the page. When the beta is released, we can quickly bring the information back on line by removing the redirect (possibly with a bot).
What's your opinion?
--Lirielle 20:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Beta-test information like always its a "NO" in this wiki for now, because that information is not stable as developers are testing things that will ajust prior to the actual release, the redirect page is a good idea but adding a category like Category:Beta information will make it also easier to point out the pages.
- About the sol, well i have stumble in a interesting post, but i would prefer to discuss it in private... i will set up my forum so i can grant you access and i will send you more information later by email, as that way we have it more for display if we require other people to participate in this discussion. --Cizagna (Talk) 14:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MediaWIki Update
As im sure you have noticed there is a new MediaWiki with some bug fixes etc just wondered if and when we are getting the update? --Kiriath(Talk) 19:40, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- that is done by Wikia Tech team and i can't speed it up, they have to first resolve other issues before they even attempt to upgrade the mediawiki version. So if you want to request it at Central wikia its your option but will get the same answer --Cizagna (Talk) 20:49, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Just wondering
How long is the evaluation period after 3 votes on D:Rfa? Or do I need more than 3? --GroundZzero (Talk) 22:15, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Just giving extra time to other members that are not daily active to give more support/neutral/oppose --Cizagna (Talk) 02:28, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks for the answer. --GroundZzero (Talk) 06:23, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Portal Pages...
As im sure you have noticed i have completed many portal pages(i think its 5...) and would like some feedback from you, and other users so i can get a general idea of what people like, dislike and think need changing or improving.
Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 20:05, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Answer? Thamks(btw your page is to big again :P) --Kiriath(Talk) 12:04, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- My talk page is not that big (compare to the previous one) and take that as an example of how uncomfortable is to scroll down when you are adding stuff (remember main page debate?). mmm well the portals looks a little bit hasty, portals need personal improves for each subject -Cizagna (Talk) 19:41, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spell info tool
I would gladly send you my tool which outputs all spell information, but i can't find a way to send you an email over wiki, nor see it anywhere listed --Rifter 10:27, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fighting with email confirmation system, i'll send it to you once it's set. --Rifter 10:46, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- You don't have an email specified in your profile, so i can't send you one. Please set it up or talk to Lirielle. --Rifter 11:38, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Weapon Tables
I took the enititive and have implemented the DPL Weapon tables. We can make adjustment if needed once your back. --Tildar 18:34, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Needs your attention
Might be you have missed this one. Could you check it out? Thx. --GroundZzero Talk / Admin 17:50, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
{{#replace:
I noticed your doing some stuff with {{#replace: so I want to pass on just a quick note. there is a 30 character maximum on replace. It took me a while to figure that out. You'll notice that I eventually had to upload a version of neutral symbol with a shorter name for the weapon/equip tables. ;P --Tildar 20:48, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yah i notice that, i quit that 1 hour ago after i found info in meta as its a string and not a parser(or so dont know why is in a separate page), now im testing other stuff like structure, im also trying to see if i can get the max limit expanded, i think i already got the maximum characters i will need is 64 characters --Cizagna (Talk) 21:00, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Preparing for update
I'm planning to place the newly created Changed template on all Class spells for a start. The changes in 1.20 are massive and we need to give it an appropriate approach. Rather than using a project page with a checklist of changes (but changes will still be listed on the 1.20 page)- which will probably be monitored only by you and me - I suggest we call for wikians' attention and contributions by flagging pages that belong to areas that have undergone a massive change. Please advise before I start botting this. --Lirielle 07:18, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ok do as you say for the class pages, but like always support changes have priority over new information as changes are more easy to slip filters when we are simply clog with info. I will change the announcement, also there are DoctorCZ additions that must be verify --Cizagna (Talk) 07:48, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Class build
Yes I change all class build because I test all in server test, and in test the points for build dont stay correctly.
Because this I change. Sorry if you don't to see, but I build now stay correctly now.
In version 1.20 I send correctly all build.
If necessary, I can send email for you with all point correctly.
[edit] $wgStringFunctionsLimitReplace

[edit] Thanks
Thanks for the welcome back =)
I will check in moderately often, though I won't be playing dofus. The game sort of fell off from what I heard, and all my ingame friends quit. But I would be happy to watch the recent changes and stubs pages =). - MrMunchie 01:10, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Moving~
Hi, I've no need nor desire to read the discussion about the guildopedia move as I was not consulted about it in the first place. Thanks though. --Sariya 05:05, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Training Question
Ok i have level 26 strength sadida and a level 25 intel xelor and they take forever 2 train even with my perfect mushmush set. Can somebody suggest a training spot where f2p's can go and i get bad xp from boars prespics, crackrocks and chafers. Plz reply here. sympers 8:24, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well you are running out of options your best places are at crackrocks (soloing) and at the chafer cave, also the field dungeon maybe, aside from that you can keep lvling there by going little by little, but F2P areas (Astrub) is designed for 30 levels of experience at most, the best solution was to stay in Ircam as there is more options there you can go up to lvl 40 with extra patience doing the young chafer or the ircam dungeon. --Cizagna (Talk) 14:44, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Episode
Looks like this template should be updated to include all episodes? --Lirielle 12:43, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
- Working on the images, as i dont remember how where the steps i made to do previous effects as the image are reduce from original paste/cut version and have some fading effects to it merges with the background (i think it was any background)
[edit] New Server announced for the french speaking community
the server mascot's jpg can be found using this link: Helsephine's Picture. The french link in the server board is here. The new server will be available in the afternoon (DUT) of the 16th of October and will be open for f2p players on the 23rd of October.
Here is a babelfish translation of the french posting. I will contact another player who will properly translate the information for you if needed. Please use my talk page and leave me a message if you would like to add this to the Wiki's list of servers.
Translation:
Since you are increasingly more numerous to want to play DOFUS, we open another new French-speaking waiter. You with the opening of Helsephine prepare Tuesday October 16! The waiter should open its doors at the beginning of afternoon. As always, the experiment will be doubled during the first week of play. Only the subscribers will be able to benefit from this doubled experiment (the not-subscribers will not be able to connect themselves on Helsephine that as from Tuesday October 23)! A little history: Helséphine was a magician as beautiful as soft. Its beauty bewitched the c?ur (heart) of Rykke Errel, celebrates it hero, but also his friend the Bolgrot dragon. This last, failing to ignite the c?ur (heart) of the young woman, made flame the beautiful one in an access of jealousy. Rykke Errel killed Bolgrot to avenge its great love.
TailshornsHalos 01:47, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- This is so random but thanks for the heads up when i have spare time i will see to add it to the server pages --Cizagna (Talk) 16:42, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] weapon bonuses
As a comment to your revert of the Cra page, you wondered whether the figures had been published. The answer is yes, and you'll find the details in the news here. --Lirielle 19:13, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- so we could say for example Cras and how to present it?
- Cras: 100% damage with bows; 95% damage with daggers; 90% damage with any other weapon.
Weapon Axe Bow Dagger Hammer Pickaxe Scythe Shovel Staff Sword Wand Pre- 1.20.0 -30% 40% 0 -30% ? 0 -30% -20% -20% -20% Min bonus 1.20.0 0% 10% 5% 0% 0 0 0% 0% 0% 0% Bonus 1.20.0 90% 100% 95% 90% 90% 90% 90% 90% 90% 90% Penalty 1.20.0 -10% 0% -5% -10% -10% -10% -10% -10% -10% -10%
from what im reading is correct is that now its not more of a penalty but more like a bonus so maybe bonus should be use instead of penalty? --Cizagna (Talk) 19:42, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Huh, no it used to be a bonus, it's now a penalty system. A table has already been submitted on the Damage page.--Lirielle 20:57, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] templates: infobox and temporary flag
- About Infobox: have you read my suggestion on the AdminChat?
- 'Temporary flag': I think we need one more template :/ When information is of temporary nature (bug to be fixed, etc.), I think it would be better to use a template to say so. Eg.
since vX.x the item is bugged and.... Too often, we come across pages having embedded notes like this that have been inserted months ago and are non longer valid. A template would allow to DPL a list of such 'temporary flags' and help making sure that we get rid of them as soon as the situation changes (bug is fixed, etc.). A special formatting (not a page header, but some highlighting) could help making clear that the info is temporary. An example of use would be on the recent (Oct 16) disabling of the Tofu Takinflight spell.
--Lirielle 09:02, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- About infobox, yes i have still organizing my ideas with that as been focus on the miscelaneus if to keep that name or create a name.
- keep the name or create a name?? my suggestion is about how the describe the effects of the class items^^ --Lirielle 21:15, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- About temporary flag: there is already a template you created unavailable as the spell or item is unavailable that would suffice right? --Cizagna (Talk) 01:40, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- You don't get my meaning. It's not about things being available or not, but about bugs and other notes that are only temporary. Ok, the Tofu Takinflight thing makes it temporarily unavailable, but that is not the point. The point is that sometimes a note is added to a page and we know that is bound to change within the next days/weeks and then it remains on the wikia because we have forgotten about it and we have no way to track such changes. Imagine notes such as 'As from the 2.18.3 update, this NPC does no longer answer you'. We know that it's a bug and the probability is great that when the bug is fixed, nobody will think of going back to page and erase the comment unless we track it some way. --Lirielle 21:15, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- my answer its a patch, there is no use to create a partially worked out template. If this its just "temporary" then use something like Bug. Also wasnt your template auto categorize? you could see all the pages with bugged and do a cross reference with DPL using NPC/Quest template or category and stuff like that. About the last issue thats not new, thats why i mostly doing retroactive work going back to rechecking information and seeing it matches, for example i have to check many of the new items since 1.18.0 pages are not properly categorize or formated, then we have the changes on episodes since the update was done in the sol files i cant update all the weapons and weapons where updated to 1.18.4 version (i think) etc etc so its not a new issue im trying to solve and a template "temporary" dont seem like a solution. in any case if you need a list you can do it on the version games pages and from time to time just re-read them to see which are bugs noted --Cizagna (Talk) 21:35, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Changes to the Characteristic scroll exchange and Mount Ghard pages
Hi Cizagna,
I've made the changes to those two pages that were discussed on the talk page for Characteristic scroll exchange. Hope you like everything as that was my first major edit and took some time to complete. Most Dragoturkeys are listed now although not all trades are known. I verified the info I used here http://fox.killer.free.fr/Dofus/Dindes.swf --Shreloche 18:13, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, i have partially review it --Cizagna (Talk) 21:44, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Any idea why MrMunchie reverted the page when the changes I made were discussed and ok'd by you on the Characteristic Scroll talk page? --Shreloche 18:49, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] infobox and cats
- I thought you told me that you had standardized on Summon rather than Summonable creatures? Tell me whichever we have to keep (though I prefer Summon as it is shorter and thus avoids potential line breaks)
- I think I already mentioned that we should not keep the 'Percent damage equipment' category, as it just defers from 'Damage equipment' in the way it is calculated. People are looking for weapons that improve the damages dealt, whatever the way. If I look for 'Damages equipment' (and do not know about the Percent damage equipment category), I will miss a part of damage dealing equipment. Also, if you keep both categories, then you should also have 'Percent resist air equipment', 'Percent weakness air equipment' etc.^^ --Lirielle 21:23, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
- Im still working on the summon thing when i finish i will do that with the bot and will advice in our wiki forums.
- Disagree plus damage is for Damage focus builds(eni, sadi, enu commonly) , % damage is irrelevant for those builds as having 20%+20 damage is not the same as 20+20 damage and that is oppose to linear and percent resists (thought i have been thinking to do the % resists category not sure maybe i will start a poll in the following weeks to see if there is a real demand for this category). --Cizagna (Talk) 21:43, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] style guides
I've started writing a guide here. This is a long-term project, so no hurry here but I would like you to at least have a look at the Drops section, as we currently have two options for drop lists. My preference goes to Method 1 because it is fully template-based. If you have any other comments (including whether I sould go on or stop wrting guides), please tell me.--Lirielle 10:39, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Pro otro lado, todavía no entiendo porqué no contestas a mi pregunta en cuanto al formateo de los nuevos equipos, porque no se trata de modificar el template sino el formateo de los datos dentro del template:
- Reduces by 1 the AP cost of the spell Summoning of Tofu
o
- Summoning of Tofu: -1 AP
Si prefieres no decidir ahora, a lo menos puedes votar 'postpone' ;). --Lirielle 10:39, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Infobox standardized
Me again. Just to tell you that I changed the code in my personal tools so that the infoboxes now entirely match yours (ie. tabs now replace the spaces). You should have told me earlier ;) --Lirielle 12:30, 19 October 2007 (UTC) Edit: Also restored the code for number alignment in crafts. --Lirielle 21:20, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Change log
Continued updating the change log for 1.20.0 with new items, item name changes, new subareas, and subarea name changes. I have yet to document other changes to items (all details but names) --Lirielle 07:23, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Can you rephrase that i did not get it very well. its just informative right? --Cizagna (Talk) 07:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- Right. Just saying that I've updated the change log as stated. --Lirielle 07:40, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Status
Finished adding all new items with recipes; finished adding new craft components. A few pets, potions and quest items still remaining on item add list for 1.20.
Still waiting for Fogleg or Ethaniel for spell automating tools. Adding some as opportunity raises.
Will now try to continue adding transp pics starting with equipments.

[edit] Page load error
Hi :) Earlier sannse asked me to look into a problem one of your friends was having getting the front page to load correctly when logged out. I have tried to load the page in IE7 while logged out and I wasn't able to get the error you mentioned to appear. Can you give me more specific information (such as the build of IE, and what version of windows, whether or not you have 3rd party toolbars installed, etc...) or a specific set of steps to get the problem to occur. If you could do that I might be able to cause the problem so that I can find out where the problem is and solve it. Also, have you scanned the computer recently for viruses and spyware? They might be causing that issue. I'll be available on IRC or you can just reply here and I'll do my best to help :)-- JaeSharp 02:40, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- I get the error in Windows Vista Home Premium, IE7 Version 7.0.6000.16546CO, update versions:0. i just enter the dofus wiki and get this image, i have no tool bar nor nothing i will try that a couple of my friends who have this error image display try to post here, but i cant be sure they will do it, also some ppl have tell me its a scrip but they dont know wich one i have test with disabling Java that looks it worked yesterday night but today its not working (thats the image with java turn off), one friend also rumors it may be something to do with the ads since he manages to see the page but he has to stop the loading of the page so he can navigate. --Cizagna (Talk) 14:00, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- also i have scan my computer and im ok and its not only a few of my friends i have constant reports see problem report list you will notice that most of the "need staff help" are reporting the same issue.
- oh forgot once the error you click ok it will finish loading and it will give you a blank page. so there is no easy way for me to pick information on this issue from other users --Cizagna (Talk) 16:03, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, I think I have a workaround so you can access dofus. You'll need to disable the adobe flash activex object in the manage addons panel of IE. I'm working on a complete fix for the problem but that should help until then. -- JaeSharp 17:49, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
- I was able to reproduce the problem but now it seems to have disappeared. Some servers were out of sync this morning and that might have been causing the issue. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, going to here and uninstalling flash, rebooting, then going here to install the latest version, enabling the flash plug-in in the add-on manager and trying again. Please let me know if the problem occurs again or if it is still occurring. -- JaeSharp 20:00, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ads
That's odd. I'll try to find out what's going on. Have you tried the new skin? (no ads at all most of the time) Angela

Do you mean the width of the column keeps switching, or of the ads themselves? Try refreshing your cache (pressing ctrl and F5) on this page. Please let me know if it still happens after that. Angela
(talk) 01:44, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi Cizagna. I'm not sure what's going on here, but sannse is investigating and will get back to you about this. Angela

[edit] Template:Infobox Equipment.Table
Hey, could you check the discussion for Template:Infobox Equipment.Table. There are a few things which I have seen a possible upgrade for. Thanks =). - MrMunchie
[edit] Some technical things, answer in line.
How do you customize your signature to have the extra information in it, I know Dashiva even had a link to the admin page. Or is it just a different code?
What is the code for signing for a user who didn't sign their comment?
Thanks, - MrMunchie 15:28, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- MrMunchie, I believe I can help you with that one.
- You can customize your signature when you select the option 'my preferences' and filling in the 'Nickname' section. Linking can be done there. Be sure to have the option 'Raw signature' activated.
- Here's mine as an example: GroundZzero Talk / Admin
- Giving the following:
GroundZzero Talk / Admin 22:15, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- Now the code for someone who didn't sign is XXXX whereas XXXX is substituded by either a User name or IP adress. For example:
- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GroundZzero (talk • contribs) .
- Hope it helps you a little further ;)
GroundZzero Talk / Admin 22:15, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
You're most welcome ;)
Glad you liked the idea with the Dofus, it's just something different for a change ^^

[edit] Problem reports list
Any idea how and when all reports marked as Need staff help will be resolved and archived, because it's becoming a bit crowded and overwhelming?
GroundZzero Talk / Admin 03:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- All the reports are focus in the same problem and thats [http://dofus.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_talk:Cizagna&diff=cur#Page_load_error cover here but i have lack the time to test this, if you could test it if it works the solution (if possible in various computers would be great) i need to know how to approach this since this is not an easy thing to request all users to do this process in order just to see the wiki. --Cizagna (Talk) 19:58, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Im Baaaack!
Hey again! :D Im back, sorry for my long and rapid departure... had to sort things out, now they are all fine and im good so im decided to come back ^-^
Any developments to my portal pages? Or has that project been taken over by someone else now? If you still wish me to work on the project, let me know please :D
Good to be Back, --Kiriath(Talk) 11:36, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- WB, no one has taken care of your project like i told since the start that was an addon non critical, and lately you will have to exercise your patience more since i barely log now to the wiki as im doing some complex codings, and other stuffs. My recommendation is keep working on those portal pages, mostly on improving the content and forget about the flashy things. Like i have suggested in the past, go to other wikis (in wikia there are good ones) and surft them for mmm like 2 hours try to see how the manage their portals so you can see how to improve the item portal pages. --Cizagna (Talk) 20:03, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

Is there a way to provide me the link to change back to Monobook Skin? Because I'm so much more comfortable working with that one instead of this one. Thanks.

[edit] Still the Hungarian copy
Hello Cizagna,
Thanks for your answer and hint, I'll try to make a good use of it. But my main problem is - as long as I know - the main page cannot be modified, so I cannot insert a 'hu' tab on it. No clue if you allow external links, but that may look suspicious in most people's eyes if a wikia page would redirect them to some other page. So my question is, what's the exact way to make a mirror page like the Polish, Turkish etc. translations.
Regards,
Szi 18:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- If you are picking an existing language project here at wikia, the reason is that previous administrators are a little bit paranoiac and do a full protection thats a thing that i dislike a lot any way the best thing to do is you go there on that wiki and work it for a couple of weeks then you can look for a staff at w:Community Team and as for w:Adopt this wiki they will review your edits and see how is your interest in maintaining the wiki and they will give you sysops power and you will be able to edit those fully protected pages. --Cizagna (Talk) 19:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Completely reasonable, will start to work on it. Thank you again.Szi 22:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Do you plan to entirely or partially restore the css? I'm sure you are aware that the css rollback ruined the infobox and other hideable templates (like quest dialogs)? --Lirielle 10:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Skins
Hey Cizagna. Hope everything is well and good, sorry for my continual lack of activeness. As you know im an admin on the other wiki and it does demand alot of my attention, which unfortunately leaves little space for this one :( But anyway moving on. I wanted to change the link colours, for example ours on this wiki are green. I entered this line of code into the Monobook.css skin page:
a { color: #666666;
}
For some reason it changed some of the links from Brown, to a grey colour, but left some of the links as brown... Any idea's, or just a short line of code to ensure all link colours change?
Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 21:25, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- There is no easy way for this one thing you must understand about css is that it can be global specific of target specific, what it means is that if i say
a {color: #666666;}im saying all the link put that color but if later i saytable a {color: #aaaaaa}since my first example is global and my 2nd example is table specific my any link inside a table will be color white and things like that MediaWiki is that way it has global and specific terms and for example many things that does not require to be told (color:White) it says so its a hazzle when you are trying to custom there are various "A" that you have to change you should look for your main.css file, go to your wiki, click on source view (yeah on your navigator dont look for a wiki link) and read the code until you find the the http address of the main.css use that address so you can see your main.css and always look there for the specific code you need to override in this case "a" --Cizagna (Talk) 17:08, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah ok! I open the css into dreamweaver ;) A lot of code for the monobook skin, nothing much for the common. I understand most things, like "a.hover" part, is for hyperlinks and what colour they go when you hover over them. Similar for visited, for this wikia when you have visited a link it goes purple ;). What part is the "editsection" is it the view you are in when you edit a page, so the area im typing in now as a write the message? Also what is the body part is mainly the background effects, like ours is a dark grey. And the "column-one" part is the area with the buttons like "edit" and "discussion" etc? And the body is the area that displays the information that people enter ;) So yeh could you just confirm im on the right tracks? Thanks. --Kiriath(Talk) 20:15, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- Also, if you have the time could you look at TW Wiki and the Column-one part("edit" "discussion etc) looks awful, how can i remove the border so it can "sit" ontop of the page like most Wiki's? Thanks again. (Btw your page is double the recommended size :P) --Kiriath(Talk) 20:22, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
- One thing you must understand is that HTML can be work like a series of boxes that contain other boxes. In HTML first comes the language <HTML></HTML> inside that code there is always 2 codes <HEAD></HEAD> and <BODY></BODY> at head is basically a tittle thing where you put all relevant info like what css code to load, what are the key words of the page so search crawler grabs it, etc at body you put what you want to show its not just background its your basic/primordial level any thing you say to the body will be carried to all the "boxes" it contains unless that box has a specific key targeting.
- Now editsection is where the link that display "edit" to the right of each section and the tittle of this.
- Column-one is where p-cactions (where you can affect the edit, discution, etc), p-personal, p-logo, p-Navigation, p-Community, p-search and p-tb are contain (remember that monobook is not the original look thats an already modify look .
- p-cactions{border:none} unless there is a more specific css target that would work
- --Cizagna (Talk) 14:05, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Ah ok! Well i now get what parts are which etc. But when i punched in the line #p-cactions{border:none} it didn't seem to do anything! Any help? --Kiriath(Talk) 18:03, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Because like i told you the more specific you write an order, it will ignore the more global ones.
- .pbody has border color #844100
then
- #p-cactions li.selected {border:2px solid #CE9652}
- #p-cactions li {border-color:#844100}
so if p-cactions is not there then it will obey .pbody and if this is not there it will pay attention to p-cactions, thats the fun part of css. For example if you put something like div{border:black;} it has more relevance than body since div is the function its always fun to play if you use Firefox look for the Firebug add one is very usefull when looking for this obnoxious tags --Cizagna (Talk) 18:38, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yeh.. This is probably me being REALLY stupid lol but i put in the line of code "#p-cactions li {border-color:#844100}" and then reloaded the cache etc and nothing changes, i tried lots of different things and nothing works! I tried using the pbody string to no effect etc... I hate css its so confusing and never does what i say! lol --Kiriath(Talk) 11:25, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
I'd provide an image, but i dont want to clog your page up anymore than it already is. The two lines of code you gave me, worked but in the wrong way. It puts a BORDER around the actual buttons. I wanted to COMPLETELY remove the border around the whole section. If you take a look at TW Wiki you will notice that there is a brown border aroud the whole section that contains the buttons. I believe its called "Column-one" , and putting the line of code:
- #Column-one {border:none}
Didn't seem to have any effect... So if you take a quick look and suggest a line of code, that'd be great! Thanks for your ongoing help. --Kiriath(Talk) 13:35, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ok i take that back. After changing background-colours of both column-content & column-one it changed the background colour of something else. I then tried p-cactions and changing the border and background colour, to no effect... So im now completely stumped. --Kiriath(Talk) 13:45, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Today is a busy day for me, when im able i will check the codings and present you with the solution. just revert back all your tries so i have less code conflict --Cizagna (Talk) 16:04, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Any luck? Sorry for not replying sooner, was on holiday! --Kiriath(Talk) 16:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wahhh sorry i also took holidays from computer and totally forgot ok mmm last request, take an image and could you show me what borders you want me to take of you can post the image in the other wiki if you like and just point me a link and i will reply you there --Cizagna (Talk) 16:51, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Any luck? Sorry for not replying sooner, was on holiday! --Kiriath(Talk) 16:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey hope you had a nice break. Here is the link you requested so you can help. Here is the link Link . There are boxes describing what i would like help with, and arrows pointing to areas. Basically removing a border, changing a background colour and then small piece of info about the actual buttons. Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk) 18:21, 4 January 2008 (UTC) Whoops! Ok found the more technical term for it, when i how to define the buttons in the CSS, what i meant was what was the "ID" of that particular area. Thanks. Also, if you know, when i surf other Wiki's CSS i find "Custom ID's" - How can you define a totally new area? And is there a list anywhere that tells you what all the IDs of a wiki are? Thanks. When you reply, could you do it on my talk page on the actual TW wiki? Name is same as here, Oscardog. Thanks again. --Kiriath(Talk) 18:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wow thanks. Now it all makes sense.. lol with a little playing around i managed to sort it just how i wanted, and with the extra help with all the p-cactions i managed to add a few rollover's and colour changes etc.
Btw your page is exceeding the limit so might want to make a second archive! Thanks again! --Kiriath(Talk) 11:09, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hey again. Nothing major this time just a couple of questions. Firstly is it only wikia's and not wikis that can have forums, as i cannot find any wiki's that have forum add-ons. And how can you define in CSS each box on the left (Like the "Navigation" box with links to pages. Then Below that the "community" box and then the "Wikia Gaming" box.) Are they defined as "porlet" and how do you define each one, so if i wanted to change each of the Title's on the Boxes to make them stand out more, how would i do this for example. Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk) 18:15, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- ".portlet h5" for general if you want to arget use their ID's tags "#p-navigation h5" try using view source so you can get the info you require other way use FF and download the add on call "firebug" and inspect the elements that will help you find the css affecting that element--Cizagna (Talk) 14:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Agradezco tus comentarios. --Zuirdj

[edit] gallery
I really don't understand your point. My experience is the contrary of what you describe. It bugs if we don't limit the width and displays correctly when width="80px".
Here are screenshots taken in FF:
--LiriBot 16:25, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- You have the bug present in your images, its that you dont notice it, image:FF_display_comparition with marks.png, you will notice in red where the right border disapears because its been overlap by the image box that is located to the right and so on, until the last one, where the image box goes outside the gallery box. As i see its overlapping due to screen size then what we can do then is bring down the perrow to 4 instead of 5 until the next skin is release that will substitute the actual Quartz one that will give us more horizontal space according to the mock that wikia has release. --Cizagna (Talk) 16:51, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Set categories
- Why do you move the cat:set tag to the top of set pages? All other pages have their cats at the bottom. This is unnecessarily inconsistent.
- I think it's stupid to list piwi sets together because the category listings are alphabetical and people won't (and shouldn't) look for 'piwi set' but for 'blue piwi set' etc. Again, this is inconsistent with not having a Piwi Set page on its own (which I agree we shouldn't have).
I've done a lot of work on the sets (and there is still much to do to bring in more consistency) and I regret that you undo whithout discussing. Lirielle 10:50, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Edit: See User:Lirielle/Style Guides/Set Pages and its Talk page. --Lirielle 11:31, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Because ppl keep removing them, when adding or modifying the set notes, so a solution is to move it out of normal reach, thats why the first heading also so ppl edit after the heading. That was the same problem happened on the item pages but there it was automatize and move inside the templates so they could not touch. Also if you check the history of the old set you will notice that its on all the set pages.
- it has been done as Kwak and Scaraleaf set pages why Piwi. Also its grouping sets that share uniformity. instead of created a category call piwi sets that will be inside the set category
- And like i told in my previous sentences, the modification where done following previous patterns, and i dont see any comment or discussion from your part informing prior to your complain, also thought you where working the name changes.
- Well if you are interested see User:Cizagna/SetProyect thats prior to yours its not as detail as yours since i made it when i was starting on the wiki and i halted all my work due to the links issue that where resolve various months after you was already a sysops but ppl already started to imitated the work.
- --Cizagna (Talk) 11:50, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Risk of removing the cat no longer exists now that we have a full section with the comment as a header, and language links to add contents. So I suggest we harmonize on a bottom category listing as on other pages. (Also, when guides are published, we'll be able to refer users to their correct use.)
- I know about kwak and scara sets, but I suggest the same. Let's be logical: either people look for 'Piwi Set' or they don't. If they do, then we should have a Piwi Set page. We decided that we should not, so we should not group piwi sets in the category listing.
- Whether on my page or yours, it's time we start publishing or documenting skeletons. (I specifically asked for comments on the Monster Pages guide but never got any so I thought I'd go ahead while you are working on the templates.) Tell me where to go on discussing the Set page skeleton. Generally speaking, there are tons of points that I'm still hesitating on when editing pages and we'd better state the rules somewhere. Also, I'd like your opinion on where to put the guides and how to organize them once they are ready, as they need to be visible to the community. The Name Change procedure should also be moved there.
- While we are at it, have you checked my rewriting of the Dofus:Templates page?
- As for name changes, I've been implementing 1.21 item name changes, but left 1.20 changes up to the community a while ago. Maybe I should remind them ;)
- --Lirielle 12:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes and no, slowly ppl are adding less of those trivial non usefull notes (also that by making it more square information), that in my way of seeing are better to be put inside the guides.
- The category sortkey is the reason on why i agree on not creating other pages like "piwi set" or "kwak set" or "scara set" since its already cover on the category page. thought there are other sets that difference so apart like the "ala set"(pandala), "rat set", the new blop and king blop sets, all those 2 group sets and "class sets" (that btw should be integrated with the set page and it should not exists or in any case just a mere reference page that explains the sets peculiar behavior).
- Well except for my set project and my first sandbox (those are the ones that should be documented elsewhere) the rest are already where it should, according to this wiki original rules, most of your guide work is in your personal pages, and i dont touch it since you prefer to have it there as per last request. About "Monster" see my archive talk page history, talking about answers i have never get response on some questions i send to you by email. Where to discuss the best place would it be "Set talk" page for now. I will like to discuss also about guides and skeletons since im browsing some game wikis and i considerate we have been doing some stuff wrong and i would like your opinion and ideas so we can go on a consensus in this rather new radical ideas but i want another side opinion . But this msg using the wiki its rather slow would you be interest in using a instant messaging program (msn, irc, other?)?
- Yes i have seen the Dofus:Template rewrite looks great.
- Name changes i thought it was finish since you took it out of the Announcement.

[edit] Pink tutu
Hi, could you have a look at the Pink Tutu issue? I reverted edits that gave info contradicting with those on the community site. My last revert was commented as 'waiting for someone to bring self-obtained data' and I protected the page for 3 days. As the user insisted, I restored his edits. What do we have to do in such cases? I personally don't fully trust the community site, but unless the user comes with a personal proof or is confirmed by other users, there is no reason why I should trust 1 single user more than the community site.
Secondly, I would like you to investigate on user 72.253.110.75's last edit on Talk:Pink Tutu. I reverted his "proofs" as it contained insulting matter and banned him for 2 weeks. Pls. change if/as you think appropriate.
--Lirielle 09:48, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well community site is made by humans at the end is prompt to errors T_T but still is our best source for confirmation, i will reduce the ban to 3 days (same as the cool down to the page). But as it has happen in the past with the gobball items, Ankama can change the stats roll with no warning (and some times community page is slower to reflect this changes). So what to do is still subjective, we will accept that proof until proved other way, and i will watch it for a couple of weeks to see if new info come along. A little harsh but you proceed as it was required. --Cizagna (Talk) 14:55, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] then if my post isnt of use then..
then where do i put my posts on the game info.? where did EVERYTHING go?? this is the only thing that is popping up when i click on forum i thought a forum is for everyone to see and use
- Dont forget to sign your post. And please dont dupe edit information. Forums are topic related in wiki case they are very specific since you can talk in Enutrof discussion page and every one interested on enus can see it. Also can be focus on any of the build pages. As normally the person looking at forums its ppl with issues with the wiki or information display some way in the wiki.
- if its completely random about Enutrof well then on the Enutrof talk/discuisson page, if you are behind a specific build then there is where it can be in the discussion build or in the build it self. As the random comment it did not display lvl of usage for what build would be, what to do above or below that. Currently your info its not available to normal users but is not lost, tell me where to put it and i will add it there. --Cizagna (Talk) 06:48, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit to npc2 template
Hi, I'd like to ask you to change the npc2 template as follows.
We currently have the subarea recorded in the|loc=field. But with Ankama's exquisite art of naming things ambiguously, this can lead to some unexpected issues.
TIA --Lirielle 11:31, 12 February 2008 (UTC) Edit: Forget it. Found a workaround myself. ;) --Lirielle 12:02, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Quartz Skin Login
Well i have searched and searched through the Quartz Skin's CSS and JS and havn't been able to find how you set-up the pop-up login area. Could you point me in the wrong direction, as its really nifty so i'd like to modify it, with your permission, for our wiki :)
Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk) 11:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- if your wiki is in other server, you cant, since the logging is done with Ajax --Cizagna (Talk) 15:52, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Same answer as previous one thats wikias feature. Infact is something you can have, but you will have to ask wikia tech guy but mostlikely you will not be able to do it since thats done by hardcore coding of MediaWiki configuration files etc. --Cizagna (Talk) 21:01, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- Also. How do you use an image as a the Background for a CSS... I upload the file, and use this line of code:
body {
background: url("http://wiki.tribalwars.net/wiki/Image:MatrixCode.jpg");
background-repeat: repeat-x;
}
- It does not work because thats not the address of the image. MediaWiki puts you a simple link address for you to find but internally its coded in base of the MS5 (not sure on the name) so it has extra details see the "images/e/ec/" compare to "wiki/Image:".
body {
background: url("http://wiki.tribalwars.net/images/e/ec/MatrixCode.jpg") repeat-x top;
}
- As a side not i dont think this background will look good at tribal wiki --Cizagna (Talk) 21:01, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ye i know it would look terrible, but i was using that as an example :) I'll just use colours to make a skin :) I love this wikia's skin, and this uses no images for backgrounds , just awesome colour combinations :) Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk) 11:48, 17 February 2008 (UTC) (PS - You talk page is WAY to big, need an archive :))
- OMG i sound so stupid.. How. do. i. define. the. color. of. the. font. in CSS...
- I used this:
Body {
font: Sans serif(etc etc);
color: white;
}
- Like i have tell you in the past, css its a series of specific things have more relevance than global things... "Body" is one of your base tags, any letter that bases on body will end up white with Sans Serif etc etc, but... inside body its another tag call "Content" anc it has "Content {color:Black;}" so as must as you change body information it will not affect while the information its in content since content gets by "default" the configuration of "body" but if contents have its own configuration that will overwrite "body" configuration. --Cizagna (Talk) 01:56, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ok thanks, im still learning and i dont always understand what overwrites what :) Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk) 12:30, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- As a side note, how do i get the image to repeat so it fills all the background, instead of just half of the page... Or is it not possible for it to repeat lots of times? --Kiriath(Talk) 12:37, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- More questions just pop-up lol. When i use the custom CSS, it has no effect. Does custom CSS have to be enabled or something... ? Thanks again! --Kiriath(Talk)
- use the following code:
body {
background: url("http://wiki.tribalwars.net/images/e/ec/MatrixCode.jpg") repeat top;
}
- about the custom what wiki? --Cizagna (Talk) 19:48, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- At School. Issues with Login while here for some reason. If you go to User:Oscardog/Monobook.css if i want to i can enter CSS coding here, to change the appearance for me only. Therefore it is a custom CSS. On the TribalWars wiki, when i enter CSS code on my Custom CSS page it has no effect! Does Custom CSS have to be enabled... if you wanna edit my page custom CSS page , feel free.. Just wondering why it doesnt work! --212.135.1.184
- Wrong any change you make at User:Oscardog/Monobook.css will not work you have to do the changes to User:Oscardog/monobook.css becarefull with those caps --Cizagna (Talk) 15:57, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I tried that. No change, i tried to change the color using body{color:white} and it had no effect. I watched the capitalisation and everything. So yeh im stumped :( No idea why it wont work. On a side note, when i want to use an image and define it in the CSS is there a way to resize the image...? Thanks. --212.135.1.83
- For some reason it does not gets even loaded... dont know the real reason you need some one more geeky on this matters... can the hoster give you more info? i try to look for their support page but only a web page "Wiki Wiki Web by Cunningham & Cunningham, Inc." not no more info >.> --Cizagna (Talk) 01:15, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yeh i left a notice on the Mediawiki website on the support desk. They are as helpful as ever "Set this bla to true in localsettings.php". Yeh thats done you prat >.< Lol anyway while i argue with them... If you go to the Main Page of Tribalwars Wiki you will see alot of tables :) The new skin is done, except that the font colour is white... And the table backgrounds are white so you cant see the text. I have no idea how to define tables.. or what tables to define etc to make the tables all appear with a different background colour/border etc. Im sure you'll know :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- Yes there is a way, but i would prefer to see the css code on that so i can advise you what would be the best code for doing that, since there are various ways. --Cizagna (Talk) 14:15, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- If you are doing this for every one to see the solution is to change the main page <div> to another background since the issue resides that those boxes (that btw are not tables) are set as white (#fff) so no CSS will alter it --Cizagna (Talk) 18:01, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
- No wiki tables are {| | |} divs are <div></div> and HTML tables are <table></table>. When you tell any of those (or any element in fact) style="background=white" they will always be white no matter what CSS you put, even if they have and ID or a CLASS you are directly coding it to the wikitable/div/HTMLtable "you are white" thats what you have in your main page. --Cizagna (Talk) 16:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ah ok. Well tables are not widely used on our wiki, most things that are important that use tables are templates so they can be easily modified. Is it possible to change really specific things, such as the date on the Recent changes page, it appears in black.. And its a h4 heading so should appear the same as all other h4 headings, but doesnt :S any ideas? Your page is getting really big now... --Kiriath(Talk)
- Its not that big, the code that you gave me previously has no issue with the date on recent changes page --Cizagna (Talk) 19:24, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- The page is 90k while the previous one was 180k. Show me what you mean by an image or something the CSS that you gave me previously its working as it should unless there is something you chance and you did not update in the page of the link you gave a few paragraphs above --Cizagna (Talk) 22:19, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
body.page-Main_Page .firstHeading { display: none; }thats how you can target a specific page, but remember not to abuse it since it will be load on every single page even thought its not used. The best option is to control that in the specif page<h2 style="color:red">. --Cizagna (Talk) 17:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)- That should work unless you are typing something incorrectly as it may be slighly diferent in your wiki,. now what part of p-personal you speak? you mean like the image we have in monobook of the wabbit?--Cizagna (Talk) 20:20, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. We have that image, you define it under #pt-user etc... Instead of just having the cream background like this wiki, i want to use an image... To make the p-personal more interesting, and look more funky. Possible to do, or not? Also how hard is it to re-design the Portlets, like you have done for the Monaco skin... I dont want all the funky JavaScript, just a different style menu, easy for a learner of CSS or too hard... If you could point me in the direction of the code, that makes the Menu then im sure i could learn alot from that. --Kiriath(Talk) 12:16, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also how do you do the nifty JavaScript, i dont wanna use it just want to learn from it. Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk)
- Nifty JavaScript on the Main Page* Sorry lol --Kiriath(Talk)
- Every thing is possible but like i told you and i repeat my self for the 3er time... wiki its a SERIES of boxes!! there is a DIV with an ID call "p-personal", inside there is another DIV with an ID call "pBody" and inside of that there is a list (UL and LI) so adding a background image for that section only you must attack "p-persona.pBody" and if the UL and LI have backgrounds you will have to modify those also. Also remember that if you add images after images you are going to slow your wiki and make it unpleasant always avoid as much images as you are possible. Portlets its a class not a section and with portlets there is the logo, the user menu, the left menu and the article menu... And yes it can be hard to redesign that and "no" i did not design monaco was wikia i just color it. For the nifty JScrip copy Mediawiki:Common.js,Mediawiki:Functions.js and Mediawiki:Common.css some esencial css and Main Page for the code at the page and have fun figuring it because i really cant explain it since i dont know JS i have been toying around back and forward with the code and manage to make it work. --Cizagna (Talk) 17:54, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Breeding Items
I was having a look at the breeding items for mounts and noticed that they were all on one page, as the breeding items all have a lot of information about them (Durability, how to make it, bonus when mounts use it) I fell that there is not enough information about the items on the actuall pages. I've spoken to Lirielle and they've said to speak to you about it, so would it be okay to move breeding items to their own seperate pages. Galrauch 13:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Dont forget to sign your comments. Yes i agree certain info should be add, the reason those pages where created was to avoid extra work, because it where new item and information keep changing and adjusting and since all items where related it was easier to have all in one page, since one of the projects of this wiki is to automatize as much as possible disassemble this pages to their proper pages will be a must, but i still see pages are lacking in extra details concerning their effects on turkeys. --Cizagna (Talk) 05:55, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Dofus Skin :)
Was i meant to post here or on the other wiki? Oh well i guess its easier for you here. Overall the skin is nice, as usual the colour schemes work well and the layout is nice. I love the menu as its simple, and has all the releveant links. Dont like all the adds, but i guess they have to be there. Overall wonderful skin, shame its not transferable to my wiki or i would steal it ;) --Kiriath(Talk) 08:38, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Heya! I just wanted to drop by and give you my complements as well. The new Monaco skin looks absolutely amazing. Nice job. :) --KyleH

[edit] Changing the Logo :)
Hey! Sorry for starting a new section, but its irrelevant to the above discussion. Seems you are inactive for the past few days, but when you get back you got alot of Q's... well like 3 :P Anway! Is there a way to change the logo on the wiki, using the CSS... I dont have access to the localsettings.php or any of those files so was wondering if it can be changed without using those files! Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk)
- The default its image:Wiki.png unless your wiki is set differently. yes i saw the questions but im to lazy to go and look for the answers since they are time consuming, also been busy with rl to do that also so that increases my lazinesses --Cizagna (Talk) 16:41, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- I saw you didn't upload anything thing at the tribal, any way demon has upload the wiki.png file. --Cizagna (Talk) 18:04, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey! I saw you tried to upload an image. Didn't work >.< We soon have access to the Server files so should be able to fix the issue from there :) Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
[edit] RE: Gaminghublogo
Hey Cizagna. I have the photoshop file (.psd) for the Gaminghublogo.png image. Wikia doesn't allow uploads of .psd files, so email me at (censor) saying something like 'hey this is Cizagna', and I'll be glad to send it to you as an attachment. JoePlay (talk) 05:23, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Semitransparent PNG images
hi ;] i'm not sure about your image editing skills, so i made a step by step tutorial from the process of how i made the rune images. i should warn you, it's a ~1000x5000 pixel, 1.7MB big image, so be prepared... i use Opera and Paint Shop Pro, reasons why are in the image... please let me know how do you like/understand it (i mean no disrespect by doing this over simple text guide, if you know what i mean :) here goes: PNG Step By Step ... have fun --ezimír 16:43, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bot
I know i asked previously but i really am struggling to find one. I searched for months now using google, on wikipedia, mediawiki anything i and other SysOps could think of! You don't have to refer to it on this talk page, or the tribalwars wiki talk page you can reply anyway you see fit. I have my email saved so that would work. But there are so many things i need a bot for, please gimme some help with finding one, or just where you got yours and i'll do the rest. Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- Mmm not that easy... you can try AWB but i will not garantee since it request certain php files there i no "easy" bot programs all are complicate and tedious --Cizagna (Talk) 18:07, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I have both a PHP expert and an IRC bot expert that contribute to the wiki so i should be able to work with them to get it setup :) Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk)
- Well after fiddling and stuff i worked out kinda how it works but luckily for you in the projects area it has "wikia" as a heading >.< Not wiki any idea's what to input in the dropdown list as when i put custom and then paste the URL i get error messages... Not sure if you can help, the help files didn't :S Thanks anyway :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- That wikia stuff does not work as it should, because of me was added in the first place, i complain months ago but i got tired, as was way busy with rl/wiki/game life to worry on that details that I btw could work by my self. you have to put the address of your wiki. --Cizagna (Talk) 17:31, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Dont worry :) I left a comment on the discussion page for the bot and someone is helping me, well hoping he will get back to me with a step-by-step guide. Thanks for the point in the right direction! --Kiriath(Talk)
[edit] Template/Table Column Issues >.<
Hey. Firstly yes Demon uploaded to wiki.png but it had no effect. We are getting FTP into the server files so will sort using localsettings.php.
Anyway! We are standardizing pages using templates. We have a unit template, and a building template. They are under construction and are close to being complete! One problem is that(this template is for 30 building levels) so has 30 boxes of information and its just too long to put in one line. Instead we want to put levels 1-15 down one side, and 16-30 down the other. No matter what me and Demon do, it just stays rooted to the left >.< We changed the aligns, tried all sorts but nothing seems to make them budge. I dont really mind how it is done, but it just needs to look neat and be sorted into two columns described above. If you have any free time, swing by and see if you can point out where we need to change things, or even better tweak it for us. Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- No worries. Me and Demon fixed all the bugs, and there were alot because it messed up differently in each browser. Fixed now :) Thanks anyway :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- Once again, there are minor annoying issues with our new templates. There are no longer gaps or bugs like that. Demon was searching through pages on wikipedia and found that he could set a default, and remebering the Infobox template you use here i thought we could borrow that idea. It is half implemented, it works but you have to put note tags around the parameter that has no information, if you leave it blank it thinks there is information. Anyway to fix this, feel free to edit the page :) Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
LOL! Sorry im such an idiot. Standard Unit Template. Once this one is complete and the bug is (hopefully) fixed then the other standard templates will be updated with the "Missing information" icon etc. Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- I see you changed something. Duno what it did but when you leave it blank, it just puts nothing instead of the image. You mentioned conditionals and not installed on TW Wiki. It is a plugin/extension that can be installed from MediaWiki? If thats the case we can get it installed sharp and see if it'll work then. Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- Parser Functions ours are conditional what i have done in yours its to give a default blank so when there is nothing it puts nothing, in our case with one of the parser functions we check if there is a blank parameter if its blank we do this, if its not blank we do that. As i cant ask to check it then i cant do the things i do here, there is a hack way but its not that recommended because of server stress it creates --Cizagna (Talk) 19:08, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Issues with a guide
Can you please look into this please? The user is complaining about abusive edits, when what I did is:
- move comments to talk page
- remove 1st-person info
- remove unnecessary pics (a long list of pics, each 40K+)
He's obviously preparing to restore the pics, so I'd like to have your opinion.
Note that I hed to block him half an hour, because he was re-uploading all the pics and it was the only way to stop the multiple upload. ;) --Lirielle 18:07, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] JavaScript...Cookies...
I remember you saying that you are not very good with JS. So this is not "Fix this please" or "How do i.." its.. Where on earth would i find help, specific to a wiki! I looked on Mediawiki, but thats only for things related to mediawiki software. Basically our user database is small, in comparison to our page views. We have just over 2700 registered users and around 1.27million page views. Now when you see the page views its quite impressive for only being around 9months. But the user count is rather low. I had an idea that would be simple. If a first time viewer was to access the site he would get a notice requesting him to signup and giving him some reasons why. If the person had visited before there would be no notice. I tried making my own code by modifying cookie code from places that give out free codes but nothing would work. If i could get some code, or some help i could easily just paste the code into Mediawiki:Common.js and then test that. Any ideas where to hunt for a JS expert? Thanks :) --Kiriath(Talk)
- When you find a place tell me i need a lot of JS that requires checking as I dont know what does it do --Cizagna (Talk) 18:00, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Need a favor
Hi there! I was trying to move my guide from my talk page to Iop/Agility/The way of Nebelkatze but I effed up. Could you help me out by moving the page the right way? I'll just create more chaos... Thanks in advance. Darkdrake 12:42, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Don't know what happened, but I'm sort of glad it did, since I asked you to amend your guide before moving it to public pages. --Lirielle 12:47, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Before getting annoyed, I thought I'd ask: Can you un-delete a page, say, perhaps a guide? For you just deleted mine. Which could be annoying. A bit. Err, with that amending, didn't see the message, sorry. I do see 'I recommend' and personal opinions in various guides from time to time... Is this also to be amended? Darkdrake 13:21, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Just to know real fast because im still investigating your guide was not deleted it just in with another name look at Iop/Agility/2 --Cizagna (Talk) 13:27, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thank GOODNESS! What a relief. Could you give me an Ok at my talk page or here, when I can start editing? I'll ask next time before moving it to the public section :) Darkdrake 13:29, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I wasn't specific enough that your guide had been moved back to your user pages. I understand your anxiety and apologize for that. About other guides needing amending, yes, they should be changed, but we're lacking time to monitor everything, pages would even need to be deleted as they are obsolete, we'd need to merge guides, vote for standard guides, etc. But that's left for later and (my) current policy is to try and control newly made guides (deleting poor ones, moving to user pages for improvement, etc). Your guide is new and seems to be a good candidate for a standard guide, that's why I'd like it to be "clean" from the start. Thanks. --Lirielle 13:48, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. I can understand you and like to help, for this wiki is quite awesome :) So, how far is one allowed to go, what to edit, what not to edit in guides of other people? Darkdrake 13:58, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- You can start editing any time, also adding to lirielle above, it has personal touches since when a guide gets "public" it will be now the community that edits it not only you, other stuff like "I've yet to find a decent place for leveling." could change to "Being investigate" less personal and more general since this may be read by many and you dont know how much time you will be working on the guide or even you playing the game. In general the guide looks nice. --Cizagna (Talk) 13:54, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Been over the guide again and took out most of the personal expressions, where they could be avoided. Some parts I'd like to keep the way it is, like the intro or the thing that I put 20 points each in Int and Cha. You can read it through again, I'd be grateful if you'd move it public. Hey someone on my wiki was asking where the Dismiss option was on the Sitenotice and i never thought about it before. So i came onto here, and hovered over the Dismiss function and it said "Javascript:Dismissnotice" so i went through the Common.js and monobook.js but i couldn't find the function anywhere! [edit] Pre-load pages :)
Our wiki has a tribeopedia section. This section is similar to the guildopedia, it has a list of pages that tribe leaders make and then there is information regarding that tribe. Many people forget the category, and we want to help them make a good page(by using our tribe template). On this wikia there is a text field where you can enter anypage, and it will load whatever is on that page, onto the current page they are editing. It doesn't look too complex, im sure a little copy+pasting from somewhere would sort it.. or maybe its an extension.. But could you just gimme a few tips/pointers/links to get me started? Thanks! --Kiriath(Talk)

Ciz, I wanted to drop by and let you know about our new Free to Play Portal on the gaming homepage. We would appreciate your involvement on the portal, feel free to post Dofus events, wiki milestones, or anything else you feel is noteworthy on the portal. It can be found here.
