Obtaining[]

Talk to Amayiro at [-32,-57] in the Bonta Militia.
Dialog
Say good day to the weapons master.

Ah, you're back. Danathor wanted to see you again. You're starting to make a name for yourself round these parts... everyone wants to hire you!

Go and see Danathor.

Step 1: Danathor is Deceitful[]

Danathor seems to have a new offer to put to you. But it's probably a shady one.
Inside Bonta Palace at [-36,-60] (one map left of the Cosmetics Marketplace). Once inside the palace, take the top left exit to reach the throne room, then the door on the top right.
Dialog

The city steward position isn't meant for someone as feeble-minded as Amayiro. People love to criticise my methods, but without me the White City would go straight down the tubes in no time.

Ask what he thinks about the Edict of Velik.
Say good day to the steward.

I was waiting. I've another mission for you if you're interested. And let me tell you, I'll pay you better than Amayiro will ever do...

Find out more.

I've been told that you know how to take care of yourself. I need someone like you. You've already found a better smith to supply the militia and a tactician to make the troops more focused, which is why I thought of you straight away when this came up.

Keep listening.

The Brakmarians serve demons. Blessed is Jiva for protecting us from them. All the same, experience has told me time and again that you have to watch out for those demons, they corrupt all that they touch. Unfortunately neither courage nor cunning will defeat them, so I've decided to increase the magical powers of our armies, by giving them more spells. Since I'm so generous, I've decided to share this idea with you so that you too can profit from the success of this mission.

Keep listening.

You're going to pay a little visit to Larry Poller in the Bonta Tower of Orders and ask him how we should improve our military arsenal. I'll mock you viciously until you come up with some concrete results.

Pay Larry Poller a visit.
Dialog

Don't be afraid... I'm not evil. I'm a nice sorcerer. Most sorcerers aren't as bad as they say, really, despite their reputation.

Talk about the magic arsenal.

That's a very good question. We already have lots of works about magic and many spellbooks. I really don't see what you're going to bring to our arsenal, except a bit of demonic or Bwork Magic.

Ask about Demonic Magic.

To be honest, I'd rather not talk about it, especially since Steward Danathor has passed a law which means that anyone who is caught talking about black magic, dark rites or any other sorcery associated with demons can be thrown in jail.

Ask about Bwork Magic.

Bwork Magic makes use of the elements, and for this reason, it's very similar to the magic used by the disciples of the Twelve gods. The main difference lies in its use more than in its effects. When a Bwork Magus uses magic, he will never be able to control it fully – instead, he recites formulae that have the desired effect, but in an imprecise way.
Very few Bwork Magi, usually the most intelligent and talented, don't stop at learning the formulae by heart, but go on to perfect their mastery of the elements. So, they create spells and bewitchments with many different effects. These incantations are often devastating.

Keep listening.

The most dangerous are still the Bwork Magi of the caverns, a rare type of Bwork which is, bless goddess Feca, on the point of extinction. We also owe the destruction of nearly all the Elms in the World of Twelve to a Bwork Magus who cast a curse called the Grafioze...

Take an interest in the Bwork Magus.

I don't know anything else, but if you want my opinion, the Sadidas are still holding a grudge even after all these centuries. If you really want to know more, Pol Dullbow at the Sadida Temple should be able to help you out. He's a living encyclopaedia when it comes to anything about his race.

Keep listening.

If you're really stuck, you could also go and ask the Bwork magi, but since they often hang out with their less evolved cousins, you'll probably have to smash a few heads in before you can even start a conversation.

Head out to test Bwork psychology.
Inside the Sadida Temple.
Dialog

Welcome to the Temple of the Leafy God. Please don't make too much noise – it's naptime, you know? Disrupting the silence here would be uncalled-for.

Ask about the Grafioze.

Blimey! Who told you about that? Were you worried about the spell on the trees? Well, let me tell you all about it. A few centuries ago, when belief in the gods was still weak, a most powerful, and most evil Bwork Magus from the caverns cast a terrible curse: Grafioze. The bewitchment was harmless to plants and animals with one exception, Elm trees. These majestic trees, which had been so numerous up until that point, died in their hundreds from the bewitchment, and still the curse grew stronger. A group of Sadidas who were searching for the origin of the curse tracked the Bwork Magus to his lair and there they subjected him to one hundred times the suffering he had caused the Elms. But this punishment was not enough to put off Sadida himself. He intervened in person and punished the Bwork in the worst way possible - he transformed him into a doll and gave him to the first mama Bwork he came across.

Listen to the rest.

Nobody could imagine what torment this Bwork Magus has been through, but until now, no Bwork Magus has ever dared to recreate the Grafioze curse, since they knew that Sadida would punish them even more harshly. Believe me, they're quite right to be afraid.

Step 2: Bwork, What a Smell![]

Either Pol Dullbow doesn't know any more, or he doesn't want to say any more. Whatever the case, the Bwork Magi should be a little less reluctant to sell out one of their own.
  • Question the Bwork magi about the Grafioze
Talk to Jibworknouille at [-6,7] in The Bwork Camp.

Step 3: Genialissim[]

If you remove the curse on Jibworknouille, he'll definitely tell you everything he knows to thank you. He also suggested you go to a library to find out more.
  • Visit the libraries
Talk to Becky Stein inside the Bonta Library at [-35,-57].
Dialog

I must ask you to speak softly, please. Silence is of the utmost importance in a library.

Explain Jibworknouille's problem.

Keep it down with your explanations. No one here needs to hear all about your life.
There are several cures possible for what's ailing the Bwork magus, but they are all very difficult to implement. Do you really want to hear more?

Confirm decisively that you do.
Change your mind and leave.

Shh, not so loud. This is a library, not the Bagrutte Inn. I can only see four possible solutions. First, reunite the six Primordial Dofus. With power like that in your hands, you won't have any problem saving the Bwork magus from his sorry fate.

Ask if there's an easier way.

The second is to summon a demon from the 666th circle and form a pact with it. Unfortunately I don't know what the terms of such a pact would be, so you'll have to find that out for yourself. The third solution would be to empty the Asse Sea in less than three days, which is of course an all but impossible task.

Begin to lose all hope.

As for the last solution, it's a ritual in which you'd have to travel all the way around the Cania Plains in eighty days, blindfolded and on one hand. And of course you're not allowed to change hands once you've started.
If it comes to it, I suppose you could always try to sort things out by making a clothes peg, ha ha... er, sorry, I digress.

Make a note of this last option.
  • Reunite the six Primordial Dofus
Note: This quest was created before all 6 Primordial Dofus were available. It is not possible to progress with this option.
  • Summon a demon of the 666th circle of hell and practise with him
  • Empty the Asse Sea in less than three days
  • Travel around the Cania Plains in 80 days, blindfolded, and on one hand
  • Find a clothes peg
Talk to Liroye Merline inside the Bonta Handymens' Workshop at [-32,-54].
She will sell you Blueprint for a Clothes Peg for 500 Kamas each. You must buy at least one to update the quest.
Dialog

My family have been avid DIYers for generations. My sister and I decided to set up shop in the rival cities to make sure everyone has access to our know-how and experience.

Ask how you make a clothes peg.
Find out more about the handyman profession.

I'm very busy, I really don't have time to explain anything. What I can do is sell you a plan for 500 kamas. Another handyman can then make what you need. What do you think?

Buy a map for 500 kamas.
Bucket of Clothes Pegs is a level 137 Handyman craft (any class including Iops can craft the Bucket of Clothes Pegs, despite the blueprint description):
It's not a quest item, so it can be freely traded, bought, and sold.
Dialog

It's an infection. Why are the gods being so cruel?

Put a clothes peg on his nose.

Iz a miracle! I can't smell a sing! You 'ave great, great powerz, I can't deny. I sought I was a powerful mage... I'm nossing!
What is left of ze doll 'oo was once a powerful Bwork of ze caverns? If you patched 'er up a little. Or a lot. Maybe drench 'er in ze enchanted waters according to ze ancient Zadida ritual. Zen you should be able to get a bit of information out of 'er. When ze ritual is over you'll 'ave to wait a few days for ze effects to take 'old, so don't bozzer rushing it. If you want to patch up your doll, call up a Zadida, zey are very good at zis. I know one, Mascara, who is an expert at zis.

Ask for more details about the ceremony.

A Zadida is needed to carry oud ze ridual... a very egzberienced Zadida, zat is. Ze best way to know if zey are good iz to get zem to summon an Inflatable. Bud zat's nod all...

Keep listening.

As well as a Zadida, you ‘ad better ‘ave an alchemizt, a lomberjack and zumbody who can deal wiss ze flowerz. One of zeze people, zat can be you.
Ze best place is in ze souzern part of ze Enchanted Lakes. Ze norss is too near ze Forest of ze Dark Treechnids.

You receive 1 Roughed-Up Doll and lose 1 Bucket of Clothes Pegs.
Dialog

Be careful! Sadida is quite touchy at the moment. He doesn't like people picking up his flowers. Protectors guard the precious plants.

Ask for the doll to be patched up.

What have you done to that doll? Have you seen the state of it? It won't be easy to patch it up... I don't know if it's even possible. Well don't just stand there, go and get me what I need to repair it, and ask Aga Dou for a Sylvan Needle.

Dialog

Hello! If you have a passion for cooking, I used to sell various spices and condiments, but now I only have Mimilk for sale.

Ask for a Sylvan Needle.

You think I'd trust just anybody with this?
It's for Maskara? Why didn't you say so straightaway? How is yon delicate flower?
Take this needle and take care you don't prick yourself, or your limbs will rot straight off... Just pulling your leg, it only hurts a bit.

You receive 1 Sylvan Needle.
  • Take 1 Roughed-Up Doll to Maskara  [6,-21]
You must bring all the resources at the same time.
If you are a level 80+ Alchemist, you may have to start the quest Tricky Flowers before you can hand in the resources.
Dialog

Be careful! Sadida is quite touchy at the moment. He doesn't like people picking up his flowers. Protectors guard the precious plants.

Hand over the material required to salvage the doll.

She's critically ill, it won't be easy to save her. I just hope we're not too late.
...
Well, I've done my best, but the results aren't conclusive. What did you do to her? She looks like she's been passed down through ten generations of Bworkettes. You'd better take better care of Sadida's creations in future, or the god will start losing his patience with you.

You receive 1 Patched-Up Doll, and lose 1 Roughed-Up Doll and 1 Sylvan Needle.

Step 4: The Enchanted Doll[]

You have to find the adventurers needed for a ritual involving the enchanted waters of the Koalak lakes.
  • Find the map: Enchantment ritual
[-17,-3] in the Enchanted Lakes.
  • Complete the enchantment ritual  [-17,-3]
Ambiguous Ambition ritual
You will need at least 4 characters:
  • A Sadida, at least level 54 (per the quest text it should be level 60 minimum, but the quest was not updated for the new spell system).
  • A Lvl. 160+(?) Alchemist (profession level, not character)
  • A Lvl. 160+(?) Lumberjack (profession level, not character)
  • A character with the Flowers emote (reward from the quest Canny Balls)
Your character can fulfill any of these roles (possibly with the exception of the Sadida).
At [-17,-3], place the characters in the appropriate spots:
If you are fulfilling one of these roles, you may need to step off and back on to your tile. If not, simply stand on the black-and-white tile (outlined in blue in the image) once all other characters are in place.
You will receive 1 Enchanted Doll and lose 1 Patched-Up Doll.

Tell the story and show the doll.

I admire your skill, I understand why Amayiro thinks so much of you. Go back to him while we wait for the enchantment to take effect. Come back and see me when the doll is ready.

Obey.

Now that I think of it, take this purse of kamas; everyone who is willing to serve the steward is rewarded generously. If you continue to serve me well, you have every chance of climbing through the ranks of the militia, don't forget that. Jiva appreciates men who are dedicated heart and body to her cause.

Take the reward.
