Notes[]

Bluff is a very powerful spell when starting out, as it already does 25 average damage without adding any characteristic points. For this reason, it is often tempting for beginners to build their first Ecaflip around this spell.

However, Bluff does not draw its power from both of its elements, but only one at a time. Builds based on one of the two elements will, therefore, only deal reasonable damage 50% of the time, while hybrid (Agility-Chance) builds will deal more consistent, but inferior damage.

Bluff only costs 3AP, making it possible to cast it twice or even 3 times if you're buffed to 9AP.

History[]

In version 2.10, Bluff's damage has been moderated, but it still hits only one element on each use. It now costs 3 AP at all levels. Critical hits deal less damage than before, originally dealing 50 base damage at levels 5 and 6.

Previously, Bluff dealt 1~45 damage at level 5 and 6, with the AP costs being 4 and 3, respectively. Critical hits dealt 50 damage.

On April 30, 2013, Bluff's damage was increased by roughly 40%, making it one of the strongest spells available for its AP cost.
