Can you smell that fragrance in the air? That delicate blend of dust, dried-up glue, old leather, and yellow paper? There's nothing like the scent of old books to give your work substance.
We're not all illiterate, you know! My cousin DuhBrane really got me into reading. Grimoires, scrolls, manuscripts, in-folio: I'm mad about all that stuff! That's why I became a printer, of course. There's nothing in the World quite like a good book, don't you think?
Haha, I knew from the moment you walked in that I was dealing with a decent sort. If you like pictures, I've got just the thing for you. It's hot off the press - a series of engravings to illustrate one of Hergedrize the Mystic's recent works! If you go and visit Virgil Omanaz, the scroll seller, and tell him I sent you, he'll give it to you for a special price. You'll have to tell me what you think of the artist's work!
|
Step 1: Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover[]
- Prent the Goblin really wants you to check out the engravings done for one of Herdegrize the Mystic's books. You can't wait to add these pieces to your collection of religious paintings.
- Talk to Virgil Onamaz

What?! Oh... Mosquito droppings! What is the meaning of this?! I'm an honest craftsman! I bound the last copies yesterday, and everything was fine then! I don't get it... unless...
I bet it's to do with the ink that apprentice brought me... The old crook gave me invisible ink! Well, that puts me in a real pickle! I've worked so hard to spread my reputation as a scholar in Astrub... and now my reputation is ruined! What use is a Goblin who doesn't print anything?
That's very kind of you. Perhaps all is not lost...! Go and see Circle Drawde. This whole disaster is his fault! That lump of Trool dung had better find a solution, and fast!

May Eniripsa smile on you! That's a load off my mind.
First up, some Gobball Slobber and a few Pepper Measures. There should be loads of Gobballs around, and the grocer in Astrub sells all sorts of condiments and foodstuffs. The most important ingredient, however, can only be found in the tunnels...
To reveal invisible ink, we need to take a substance from some decidedly visible creatures. The master insists that we use Grossewer Milirat Droppings. I know, it's hardly a glorious mission, but it's the only solution to the problem. The entrance to the tunnels is just next to the Miners' Market.
