This spell has no effect if used on an enemy. This spell is effective on all sources of damage, including self-inflicted damage like Repercussion, poison-like damage like All or Nothing, and reflected damage like Counter. Direct damage that is reversed into healing by this spell will still boost a Sacrier's stats when using Forced Punishment and similar spells.
Intelligence does not affect the healing properties of this spell.
Note: Damage reduction from items is applied before the Doubling/Healing effect.
Tactics

Although its short range is a huge limitation, Ecaflip's Luck can potentially save you or your allies from imminent defeat. When you or your ally is about to die (when he or she cannot survive the next hit and is about to take one in the following turn), this spell has a 50% chance of reversing that fate
