In general, bows are made with twisted Flax String. I spend a lot of time making my bowstrings, they're particularly robust, but flexible at the same time.
If you're looking for Flax String for your bows, I'm afraid I'm very busy and can't exchange any with you. You can go to any other bow maker around here and they will be able to help you.

Find out more about the woods used to make bows
Any kind of wood can be used to make a bow. Some woods are better than others, though, and it's not at all surprising that a bow made of Ash Wood is less efficient than a bow made of Yew Tree Wood. The most efficient bows are in general composed of several types of wood, but these are both harder to make and harder to find materials for. Let's just say, you have to have some friends in the Lumberjack trade to get anything done.
