At the start of the fight Royal Pingwin enters a state where it is immune to all forms of damage. This state also causes the Royal Pingwin to gain 1 MP, 1000 Vitality and 50 Damage each time one of its allies is killed, meaning you should aim to kill it as soon as you can, if not first.
In order to deactivate this state you must place one of your allies next to him (it cannot be a summon) and heal said ally. This will deactivate the Royal Pingwin's immunity and allow it to be damaged for six turns, however it will also damage allies next to the healed character (this damage is around 600 and can be reduced by shields and resistances). This effect will persist throughout the fight, even if the Royal Pingwin is dead.
