since im not sure in what part you are having issues check this page it may take bit to load since it has an image that it loads with scramble text to avoid bot account creation. There is no guide about this but here squirrell explains another user how to color it and in your preferences, user profile tab there is a signature box you put there the code and mark below where it says raw signature and you save the preferences and every time you sign it will display what ever is in that code

Always so hasty, this will only create issues, and there is no actual consensus, there are many half policy you half implement during your process and its hard to keep track. I didnt notice this policy since i stop patrolling your edits i guess i will be force to start again. Why i disagree with protection see Wikia:Protection the reasons does not fall in to that. Why disagree on this sign up forcing idea its because i my self hate signing up for trivial things, if they require me to sign on i most likely finish in a forum for me it took me 2 months of heavy editing as IP user before i decide to sign here, i rejected signing tibia wiki for over 1 year until it came to wikia and their users database got merge with wikia. Wikis are "free for any one to edit" and that includes IP. Also new user accounts cant edit protected pages pass 4 days of their creation. And i asked you about some users, you told we would considerate after he finish the NPC project and since then there has not been any more questions about it. As i have told many times Sysops are just "trusted user" for helping maintain and they dont have to do everything (something you keep trying, thought i have tell you various times that you should finish 1 task at a time eg your multilple item pages migrations, archmonsters, drops, guides/builds, NPC[that Gaulch finish]), so yeah i can see why you feel frustrated with so much unfinished stuff. --Cizagna ^(Talk) 09:10, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok, then, come up with ideas. Why am I the only one to make proposals? I barely get answered but with nos and no alternatives are offered. I have plenty of ideas, but the difference between you and I is that I prefer being bold (as wikia philosophy suggests) and put ideas into practice than waiting for ages and finally not doing much. I'm not frustrated because things are unfinished but because they do no start. Many 'projects' that I have started are on their way, because people like SquirrelAdventures, Galrauch and DOCT0RCZ are supportive and very quick to take up on new ideas. For example, rather that waiting for your idea of a totally templated page to become a reality for monster pages, I have modified the page skeleton and added the Monster template (as well as the location template with your help). SquirrelAdventures and Galrauch have started using them and DOCT0RCZ suggested some improvements. And the monster pages are now progressing (better categorization and improved accuracy). Contrary to what you may think, I did finish several projects that I have undertaken (like the class spells) but I can't agree with your 'one task at a timle' approach for different reasons, among which: a) this wikia is an eternal work in progress, some tasks are bound to be never-ending tasks, b) focusing on 1 task is really boring (took me months to update the 240 class spells), c) we have valuable contributors to this wikia ready to help...

Now to the point of forcing IP users. All the wikia is open to IP users. It wouldn't hurt much if only the creation of incomplete/WIP build pages was limited to registered users. I have several issues with the current situation:

1. 1 Why would pages by registered users be withdrawn from the public space and pages by IP users be left on the public space?
2. 2 What do we do if the IP user adds a 'do not edit this page' notice?
3. 3 What do we do if the build is incomplete?

The objective is to put an end to the *uncontrolled* creation of builds, on the one hand, and to leave the author some time to write his/her build on the other hand (because it can be a long process and not everyone can do it in one go)

I have offered a solution that takes care of these issues and goals while, admittedly, imposing a very limited restriction. It this restriction really anoys you, then come up with a better idea (different from the current chaos). I'm reluctant to doing new proposals myself for the reasons explained above. I do have some ideas - re-read my contributions to the Guides vs Builds discussion and you might find hints. --Lirielle 09:55, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

This forcing sign up will only serve as temporal solution (like the experimental section people add more to the class pages than to that page) and even if people are forced to sign up, does not mean they will stay and then we cant touch the guides because they are on user name space so the builds will rot there (well more like they are already rotting there). Hey there, I am a user of Sadida for 2 years in Dofus. I have not had another character. I have been playing in Shika since it was opened. I met many people, some of them was good some was bad. I have seen many high level people who has shared their accounts. Well...I quited dofus like 2 months ago at least I stopped leveling my sadida. I was making kamas for next summer. But there were some people who hate me in Shika. So they tried to take screenshots of my own speech. They said I was seeling kamas. I even cannot trust someone online so how can I sell kamas???? This is so annoying. I had good money on my account and many high lvl items. People were curious about what will I do with that much kamas. I was just saying : "I will sell them lol" It was just for fun! I even havent sold kamas online. With screenshots of my speech, you cant prove that I am selling kamas and banning me is not a solution. I could have taken many screenshots of high lvl players too about their mistakes. But I have never done. Because I did not care. Now I got banned! My sadida was 1st in ladder for many months in Shika. Now my kamas, my items and my sadida...they are all gone. I got a message said you are banned permanently. I really dont know what to do. I want to get my account back with everything on it. I just wanna know a solution about it. It's a sad story but complain on what you could have or could have not done its just a theory or speculation. Its very clear that in the rules trying to pursue real life personal gain with the commerce of Ankama Intellectual Property its a violation of the TOS of Ankama. The way you said things its clear you have intentions of selling kamas since you are going to quit the game and have no interest (so imagine if you go an airport and say "hi i have a bomb, lol" expect the officials to pamper you? i guess they will do the opposite). You should learn this issues talk public (and even privately) can become weapons for banning you. Also last and very important note. I believe the website is currently hosted by wikia. I would very much like to offer to host it on its on VPS, or dedicated host. I would remove the current, laggy, page advertising and place it in a better place where it does not obstruct the page on smaller resolutions. The advertising would probably go where you decided, aslong as it was in clear view on each page.

Guild info cannot be recorded on 'public' pages in this wikia. Reasonable guild info (preferably just a link to your guild page on guildopedia) is allowed on user pages, but you need to be a registered user to have user pages of your own. Also note that reason for deletion is normally mentioned in the edit subject. Guildopedia's current main page has a master list that is seperated by name AND ALIGNMENT >__< It would help if you could make a template table similar to the one used with equipments for the guild master list. Hi, im not sure of what you mean but:

• The main page its been like that for ages its sorted first by alignment and then alphabetically.
• If you mean the category pages those can't be modify since there are automatically generated by MediaWiki software.
  • Also there are sub categories by alignment and inside there are alphabetical.
• In order for the pages to function the same way as the equipment pages requires each guild page to be properly coded, and thats been worked out, but im just distracted right now with other codes for this and guildopedia wikis.

Dont forget to sing your comments on talk pages. The hide/show its coded with JavaScript so Flash has nothing to do with it. The issue so far looks like its only you the one affected so must be something in your computer. Like i explain pages are to "show" by default, even if you had JavaScript disable it would appear since the trick is just to hide it and then reveal it again and thats done by JavaScript. Try disabling your javascript in your web explorer preference or in the security settings of your web explorer that should avoid the hidding unless its using the appear "collapsed trick". thats weird, once you disable the JavaScript (JS) you should clear your cache and restart your web explorer program, i think you are using Internet Explorer 6, i would recomend you to upgrade or look for other ones, Firefox its my personal recomendation but there is Google Crome, Opera, Konkeror and others that are far more better (and way more secure than IE) also have you check your norton security settings i know for experience that norton some times its rather excessive in its protection. I'm having trouble with my character icons redirecting to the actually character page

I use this: #redirect [[User:Paenlys/cra]] for cra and /iop for iop obviously...

But when I test it, its like it hasn't saved and it just shows the image location without any tags.

I tried it with all classes, but it only applies to the most recent ones, its like its wiping out the old changes.

A decision needs to be made on Builds, not a discussion about it which ends abruptly, not one Users attempts to organise them, but a proper decision fully backed.

It's been a long standing issue, but it's one which needs to be sorted. I can see that each User has their own opinions on how best to manage them, but all that seems to be happening is a clash of ideas.

There is no way that things can continue like they are at the moment, a real, sustained effort needs to be made.

I know I'm probably preaching to the converted, I know attempts have been made before. But we all know that they have all failed and that no real progress has been made.

I like to think I've done quite a lot of work on Builds. Aside from Moving/Deleting I've also tried to get in a more standard layout for Builds, such as in Osamodas/Chance/1. Course this is easier said than done and in a lot of cases I've only got half way through Builds, still I like to think some Builds are better than what they were like before. Woops sorry about the wait, I was writing a response then realised it was late and I should've been elsewhere. My original idea was to to add the Build template to all Build pages and standardize their names, then have a DPL list of all the Builds on the Wiki, then work on tidying up, re writing and such. However along the way I've been a bit side tracked, deleting pages so I'm not nearly as far done as I should be. As far as what Builds should have to not be deleted, I've gone deleted most things which just go up to about 50 or 60 and have limited amounts of information in them. Hi. For maintenance reasons, I need to categorize all class spells by their class. The problem is that we currently use on the spell pages:

Instead of using a series of scaling "if" i have change to a "switch" and as the "heads" or "pp" its a count based on the "lock" ounded down so eg. 540 or 580 its 5 heads (if needed it can be round it up). Oh, I'm ok with the switch function (I had noticed it in between but feared to mess things up ;)) but you're wrong to say that pp heads are based on the lock number. Not as I see it at least. I ONLY use pp heads if and as they are used on the community site. IOW, a drop can have a lock entered by a user as he observed it, but if the rate is too low (<0.3), there is no confirmation on the community site (no heads). So the pp heads are a mere copy of the community site and serve as a safeguard when users enter what they claim to be the lowest lock that they got the drop with. (If the site has 5 heads, I'll be sceptical if a user enters say lock=130). Therefore, pp and lock should not be calculated from one another and should be kept independent. There are quite a number of drops for which users have entered lock values and I leave them as they are entered (assuming good faith), but an empty pp column is there to remind me to be cautious with that information. Also, if someone changes the lock value in such a way that the number of heads changes and differs from that of the community site, it doesn't suit me well either. --Lirielle 18:43, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

In a normal page, I would use [[Jeweller's District (Bonta)|Jeweller's District]] to remove '(Bonta)' from the displayed link. I'd like to be able to do the same. It could be 'easily' done like this:

• use "area=Jeweller's District (Bonta)/Jeweller's District" on the page
• use #explode in the template, with '/' as the separator; if 2nd part is not empty, use it instead of the 1st one

It's an undocumented field that I added as a workaround for what I'm trying to achieve now. I would put "Jeweller's District" in the subst field for display purposes and "Jeweller's District (Bonta)" in the area field, for categorization purposes. The thing with blocks is as there is more community they become more and more scare because people go and undo all vandal work. Also vandals have to target pages we only need to target them and reverting is quite easy by using their contribution page, even with manual revert its a matter of going to his first vandal going a level down in history (the importance of documenting properly) and saving that but just being sure there is no positive contribution lost. Also yes he was ban in the past for 1 week and it took me more than 1 week to come back, now its ban for 1 month will it come as soon as his ban is out? then we ban for 3 months will he come in 3 months? then he is ban for 6 months will he come back in 6 months? at the end we will have lost maybe 2 or 3 hours in total of time reverting his and he would have waste 6monts+3months+1month+1week of time waiting at the end he will get tired, when he is potentially dangerous and we can see it its when he is a bot as bots dont get tired, and if he tryies by IP vandalizing as people tend to do patterns we will get him and ban his full IP range at the end its always a challange of patience and we have the winning hand as we have tools --  Cizagna ^(Talk)   Admin,  »    17:33, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

This is what i wanted to do but i have discard it because Ankama can keep their mind with their names, they change so much and that has been always an issue and moving semi hidding history pages for all the pages would be very stressing for us, since the start of refurbishing the items it has been neglect history details in favor of actual info, this sort of details wonders people like the "trivias" that people are so fond to keep adding from items names. Recently, as a part of the 1.27 update, all life bonuses were switched to vitality, I even crafted and dropped several items to verify it, the old items weren't changed, but new ones will be. I'm not sure about pets though.

Hello, I am admin form the german wiki and i want the template Template:Npclistsub for our german wiki, i try to include this (Vorlage:Nsclistegebiet) but there's something wrong with i think. In the example page you don't see a table: Fluss Quwaie.

Just how precise can these tables be shrunk down to? For instance, if I was looking for certain type(s) of stat-bonus gear that are only level 1-50? I can see how to limit by equipment and effect type, but not bracket within a level range. Aetnaria (talk) 05:34, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Cizagna! I din't understand what the wikia want to do. They will change the www.wikia.com/dofus to what? You guys will lose the name Dofus? Or you'll have to change the name like us in brazilian wikia to http://pt.wikia.com/dofus ? If you explain me better about this I really appreciate!

I was trying to be friendly. If you follow the links you will find that Alpha Centauri or Rigil Kent is a quarter of a light year from Proxima Centauri which is my username. Reason I corrected it was because now as it stands there it is incorrect, I have resetted enough times to know what happens. Now if you do not believe me I may as well go reset my char just to prove that you will not lose that 1 point (if scrolled to 101, post says u will have 100 stat x after reset although it will be 101). Heya. Sorry for slow response, only just remembered about all this. Anyway Lirielle seems fine with it and what not. As far as changing it's group goes, I couldn't see the harm in making it a Bot, as ultimately that is what it is and not many interested in its edits or them being hidden anyway.
